Hello
So sorry for the very, very, very late reply! The endshake is definitely less than a tenth of a millimeter and escape wheel looks pretty decent to me. I will provide photos you asked for if you are still interested into this thread, haha

Hello
I think I will hold off on the balance cock for now, there is a tiny bit of thread at the end of the screw and is able to hold the balance cock down effectively, mind you it does take some time to get it into the right position to do so. About the hairspring, it’s quite difficult to...
Yeah I don’t have any of that. I don’t really work with making pieces, although most of my collection is verges, I’ve been lucky enough to not have to make anything (this watch is the only one that has something broken, this and the tompion regulator wheel) I could take any verge and make it...
Thanks again for your reply,
I’m sensing to do that I have to take the whole watch apart, and that won’t happen for a while, but when I do, I will refer to this thread and a couple others. That being said, do you have any tips on how to make the plug, what material to use, what to use to make...
Ahhhh, I see, silly me... I read it wrong. So you open up the hole, cut a peice that will fit inside the hole you’ve made, then you put the thread in through that peice. Is that how you do it? It’s kind of like a bushing right, just with a screw. I don’t have the tools for that myself but I...
Hello,
Thanks for your reply, it is the hole that is stripped. I like the second method the best... but I don’t understand what you mean by opening the hole with a tapered tool, because if the thread is gone and the screw can’t catch on anything... wouldn’t the objective be to close it a...
Hello,
Sorry for the late reply. Thank you sooo much for your input. And you were pretty much spot on! A while ago I took the watch apart I noticed the pin was out of the pillar a little, but then when I put it together the pin actually bent the plate and that’s what was causing it to not run...
I know it’s been a while since there was a post on this thread but I didn’t want to make a whole new one again. I just have two questions. The first one is why is there random screws on verge watches. Not like not original screws but... they literally just screw into the plate and do nothing...

Hmmmm, I don’t remember a peg like that on my watches. I’ll check to be sure. Thank you for all this information, I’m so glad to be in contact with intelligent people like you. I don’t know what I would do without this website, it would probably take me much longer to learn what I know now...
Hello again,
When I took them apart I remember them having a clean cut edge, there was no blank spot as on most watches. I dont think it broke off because it was pretty straight and looked like it never had it there because it was the same size diameter compared to other racks, I think maybe...
Well what I mean was I’ve had a couple of watches that have been fully rotated sometimes, before me and when I go to regulate it 1) it stops running because the index pins made the hairspring too short and 2) the rack is now stuck there, because it’s too far for the gear to reach and I have to...
Hello,
Thank you so much for this information! I thought it looked something like a regulator, but I saw the pointer on the other side and thought that it was the regulator. It’s definitely an improvement from having just the disc as a scale because with the disc, you don’t know how many times...
Hello,
I’ve been looking to purchase a verge watch and have been looking at a lot lately. One thing I noticed a lot was this strange disc, it’s not a tompion regulator because there’s the regulator on the other side! It’s not the winding arbor because it’s right beside the strange thing. I’ll...
