    The word on the clock -FUGIT HORA, ORA. The hour flies, pray. Is probably from a church: Fugit hora, ora is on a dial at Gilling Church, near Catterrick; and was formerly on the porch of Merthyr Mawr church, co. Glamorgan, dated 1720. Sun-Dial Mottoes.
