S_Owsley

I've been interested in clocks (and mechanical things in general) since I was a kid in Florida living next door to a retired Railroad Engineer who retired to a warmer climate. He gave me my first clock - a nondescript Sessions electric mantle clock that I learned how "not" to refinish wood with. If I remember correctly I got it stripped but using a stain varnish was absolutely the wrong thing to do to it. The clock was soon history, but my memories of his workshop and his repair skills has lived on ever since.
