    Thanks, Mark! This is exactly what i did. I was afraid to bent the shaft or leave dents on it. All cleaned yesterday, reassembled, oiled. And it worked well yesterday, but now I see it stopped. Must have missed oiling some parts I guess :screwball:

    Heat didn't help. :( Though I managed to pull out the mainspring barrels, so I will leave that stubborn pivot there. Will clean it of course.

    Thank you. I need to study a bit the movement to grasp the meaning of what you said :) but to clarify - so such resistance, as you have said, may build up within few days, and then manifest in occasional skip of strike, right?
