I'm fairly new to collecting and I love the look of this clock - but my heart would be a little broken if it was just a "pieced together". I will keep searching to find a model or a photo of a similar one just to be sure.
I picked up a New Haven wall clock that is in a German style case. I wasn't sure if this was a married case movement or original. I've been searching to find a model or to see if it is correct.
Has anyone seen this style before?
Looking to buy an escapement wheel for a International Business Machines punch clock.
I picked up a IBM punch clock - the movement has a 100 stamped on it? not sure if this is the style/model? Previous person filed the escapement wheel. Looking for that part - or an entire parts or working...
Here's some photos of the movement it came with - I don't see any of the silent mech there.
Only thing I did notice is that this movement has many gears pinned.
Let me know if you think it is original - and by a long shot IF it is, I would love to see what he silent mech would look like...

I just wanted to make sure that the gentle method will not harm it.
I wasn't sure if silver polish would be too harsh. I will try the "cream of tartar"...
First off I'm a newbie to Tall case clocks (got my first a month ago) now have 3.
I'm putting the finishing touches on a recent purchase of a early brass dial Tall Case clock.
The question I have is do I clean the face or not?
And if I should - what is the safest product to use?

I'm working on my first tall case clock. Maker us unknown - But I believe it is an early 1800's clock.

The pin on the rack on mine come toward the dial, would you agree that a left is correct? And is it correct that IF the pin on the rack where to the back side of the rack (facing the pendulum rod) it would be a right gathering pallet?
