Waltham's equity line was produced as an "unbranded" low cost alternative to try to compete with cheaper dollar watches. The serial numbers are not in the Waltham sequence of numbers.

The basic plate shapes were not used much on other Waltham lines, but do show up on Traveler and some export models. The plate design was also used for the watches Waltham made for the E. Howard Watch Co. division of the Keystone Watch Case Co.
