Default Railroad Watch Inspectors!

I recall that Greg had a booklet of at least 1500 or more watch inspectors! At the chapter 52 meeting, one of our members brought in a Southern Pacific Sacramento Division timetable from 1957. http://williamkapp.tripod.com/id40.htm There were 11 inspectors listed just for that one division of one line in just that one year! There must have been tens of thousands of these inspectors over the century or more of RR timeservice!

Do all these timetables over the years list the different inspectors?

Happy hunting,

Bill Kapp

Ball alone had thousands.

i have posted many lists in the past of older 1890's to 1920 lists from the Ball family of Watch inspectors.

Later lists I have not gotten to. Some of the 1940 and 50's lists are extensive.

Often the watch company advertising/promotion items are marked with inspector names also. If you check out the Hamilton timebook thread ...

http://mb.nawcc.org/showthread.php?p=258281#post258281

... you'll see that many of these are marked for inspectors.

Fred,

That link is to an illinois 415 thread. Using the search engine, I found one neat thumbnail you posted on a Tucker timebook. Is there another thread with multiple timebooks?

thanks,

Bill Kapp
