Default Waltham identification

According to the serial number list that is most commonly available this should be a 14-size watch, which was at that time (around 1876) at the small end of men's watches or a boy's watch. The mechanism was designed to be in an open-face case, but was fitted with a conversion dial (seconds dial at IX)to be used in hunting (closed cover) case. The "Riverside" grade was a little better than average on these watches. Sounds like a nice watch!
