Default American Half Hunter Cases

From another thread I now wonder whether any American Half Hunter watch cases were made. With an industry as large and varied as the US case making business was, it is hard to imagine that none were made but I do not recall ever seeing one.

I'd like to see some examples and or an explanation of why teh US seemed to favor cut hunters over half hunters.

I could scarcely believe the thread Dr Jon referred to which said no half hunter cases were made in the USA. But I had a look at my own collection, and sure enough, all the American movements in half hunters were in cases made by Dennison in England.

American case makers were so much more innovative and imaginative than the English, I find it suprising that no half hunters were made. Like Dr Jon, I would be most interested in any possible comments or explanation.
