Default Avon Pocket Watch origins

Hello everyone!, I'm having trouble finding any information on this watch which one of my wife's co-workers asked me to identify. It's an 18 ligne with "Avon 15 jewels adjusted" on the bridge, "Safety Barrel" marked near the ratchet wheel, case back, marked "Empress A.W.C.CO", case made in Canada, #3880717. On the dial is marked "Avon". Near the balance wheel is simply marked "Swiss". Any clues as to who made the movement and when, would greatly be appreciated. I apologize for the photo quality. Many Thanks!, Steve.
