I recently purchased a Consti Mathey Watch. I haven't been able to find much information on this watch maker. I've found E. Mathey-Tissot & Co. who were in business from 1886-1896. But I don't think this has anything to do with my watch. A search of the internet found me one more example of a Consti Mathey watch, I have included links to that example. The seller dates this watch to Circa 1880 and claims 15 jewels.
This is what I know for sure. The watch is keywind & set, from the rear. The case is 39 mm across & the movement is 33 mm. By the hallmarks on the watch I know that the watch is Swiss, the case is 0.935 silver and that it was made between 1882 - 1934. I have links to pictures to my watch also. If anyone can fill in the blanks I would appreciate it. Hi CZHACK,
Thanks for the info. This might help to refine the year the watch was made. Mike |
