All that I can add to that is that it is a Model 1, Grade 279.

The "Victor" is apparently a private label.

This watch was adjusted in three positions, temperature and for isochronism.

1928 is the production date. Is that what you have?

I like those Illinois watches... smart looking.

Hello DADSTIMESHOP,
To add to what Tim T said, Russ Snyder's Illinois database CD shows 5073365 to be the following:
Model...1
Grade...279
Size...12
Total made...16,000 over 20 runs, between 1926 and 1929. 5073365 was in a run of 300 movements from 1928, marked "Victor".

Just remember that Illinois may have produced as many as 1,000 different private label brands. While many are fairly scarce only a few such as Ariston ,Benjamin Franklin,Penn Special,Santa Fe Special,Dependon and Interstate Chronometer etc command a premium

Can someone with access to the Illinois CD (I better get that thing!) run a S/N for me and give me the stats? All I have is a picture of a golden blob and the S/N of 1727191.

Thanks,
Stan

Hi Bob -

If each of the different jeweler contracts are counted as a different private-label I think the total number might even be well into the thousands.
