I just received a early Hampden KW/KS. Dial is pretty rough and I am looking to replace it... Any help would be appreciated..
Question.. the dial feet have holes and are held in with small slivers of metal... What type of metal is used for this? Thanks to all who answer |

Hi Hoopty,
You might check with Jon Hanson for help as he has the largest dial collection that I have ever heard of. Ariel |

The dial you have is called a "pinned" dial. This was the method of holding the dial in place prior to dial screws being used. You will find this type of dial on most early American watches. Tom

Here's a pinned Hampton dial. Is this the style of yours? http://home.inreach.com/wynter/hamp.jpg Wynter |
