Here is another one from the same mixed run. (I guess this is the first run.. not sure.. perhaps Jerry could explain..)

This one given by the B of RT and with a B of RT dial. Note it is NOT marked adjusted or 17J)

Jerry,

I've one that's marked 16 Jewels, and is a little older than yours at sn B643180 but has the same dial and a fancy engraved Keystone J.Boss 25 Year case that appears original.

Fred,

A couple of comments on that watch.

First, I was the underbidder and the high bidder (it appears anyway) was scr**ed on his bid. He (it seems) was charged way more than he should have been charged. Check out the bidding.

Second, I am wondering that watch is also a J&S case. I have an Elgin with a Ball Dial and the Dustcover with a presentation from 1892. The dust cover inside is Marked J&S. The outer lide inside is marked as in the example you posted.

Hi Jeff -

I think the bidder had to hit twice to meet the seller's reserve. When he did the bid jumped up and showed at what the reserve level was. In the past eBay showed a "reserve met" message on the page of these auctions, but I think there is no message anymore once the reserve is met. So things look funny but I think are OK.

To the case ... there was an 18 size Ball sold at Auburn this past weekend in a 14K hinged case with this oval Ball marking in the outer lid and the inner lid of its case was had the J&S marking.

I have always liked Ball watches and I think the Queen models were very interesting. They seemed to have the same very fine quality as their larger 16 and 18 size counterparts.

Hi guys and gals,

Thought this might be a good place to post a link to a neat Ad offering the queen's as a premium for selling brotherhood subscriptions!
