Never ever ever underestimate the power of the written word! i have several of these two tone bunn specials and would be happier then a pig in mudd to get that kind of money for them!Are they really that rare? what is the abbreviation for bunn special? B.S.?

No, they're not rare. In fact, they're pretty darn common. The seller states that there is only "one model" listed in Shugart's with 2-tone damascening, but he doesn't mention how many tens of thousands of that "one model" were produced. The fact that Shugart doesn't even give the watch a single star should tell you something.
These recent sales remind me of the shopping networks in then early 90's that wree selling rather oridinary pocket watches at hideously inflated prices. A little hype goes a long way, and a lot of hype goes even further. Ehtics? Honesty? Who cares, as long as you can fleece some poor sucker by convincing him that your common-as-dirt watch is "rare" and "investment quality." Just my opinion, of course...
