The case maker is likely to be Richard Neale of Coventry who first registered his mark in 1827.
I can't find "Hardy Brothers" listed in any of the standard watch books. The watch is what is usually described as a English Fusee Lever. By the way, do you know what the "act of courage" was ? Regards Dave [This message has been edited by David Thomas (edited 06-29-2002).] |

Hardy Brothers Jewelers were a small chain of Jewelers in Australia with stores in Sydney & Brisbane and Melbourne. They were established in 1853. The continued to sell contract watches with their on the dials and plates until the 1950's.
