Default Hamilton 992B tu-tone auction!!

I agree.

The available factory literature does not support the combination until 1946-47 in the Hamilton Product List. This PL is copyrighted 1946 and was sent to Jewelers and Jobbers.

No boxed examples have been documented for this combination. [this means with matching factory label] The examples I have noted fall in the C1695xx to C1880xx range. I have seen some lower, but owner(s) confirmed recasing of the movement.

Please note I am dating movements with OTHER resources, Not the date listing in Shugart, as it will state the movments are 1943-43. What I am using is a list that has also been published in the HANDWRITTEN SERIAL NUMBER book from Heart of America Press.

There are more discussions on Tu Tone cases like the in prior threads.

I also noticed he has this auction going as well!! Were 950's available with a tu-tone case as well or is this another re-case job that the seller again failed to make note of?

Here's the link for that one!!

This is the first example [in 950b] I have seen.

The factory literature seen thus far does not support the combination. I base any opinion on that information.

The dating of the movment makes it a possibility even though it is a little later than the 992B examples. I do note the dial lacks any 23jewel markings as seen on other 950B dials.
