No. I was only indicating that to the best of my knowledge the factory cases were not offered in solid 14k gold cases.

The 21 jewel "60 Hour" Bunn Special version was definitely offered as a "movement only" per an introduction ad in 1926 for $50.00.

I will need to do more research on the 23 jewel version.

Not at all.

I wrote that ... "Your watch is toward the early end of the 60 hour Bunn Specials and at a time when factory casing of the 23 jewel version doesn't seem to have been the standard yet".

What this means is that I believe in the earliest years of the 23J 60 hour Bunn Specials these movements weren't necessarily cased in Bunn Special model cases, but instead were very often cased at the customer's request.

But a ew years later than your watch I do believe that a high percentage of 23J 60 hours were originally cased in Bunn Special model cases, though I believe there were still exceptions and that advertisements showing the 23J 60 hour Bunn Spls availability in movement-only form do exist.
