No Scottie, I haven't come across that set up, but it sounds like a nice way to hold the thread.

Yep, work can be a noun or a verb depending on how it’s used. But, it will all ways be a four lettered word to me

Need only now to make hour hand and soon will.
Wag arm weights finished. Wanting them to be unique, I made them of square brass stock, antiqued chemically. Then drilled and tapped 4/40 for two thumbscrews I found in partz box. Slotted wag arm and now has weights and attachment unlike any on market.

Here, the structural change at bottom, elimination of lower pillar, and dial mount. I cut off the back plate where I removed the pillar. That left a scar on the wood that I covered with a very old, wood ornament. The lowest pillar was replaced with a dowel to mount the new dial further down because this dial, 8", is much larger and literally surrounds the clock like a halo. Again, the dial is a larger embroidery hoop. Now the dial has a three point mount, notched to top plate pillars and secured at bottom post! Remaining only now is it's hour hand.

Gonna call this one done. Very pleased with it - like it better than the first. Hour hand was made from WENGEWOOD - a nearly black wood with bold striated grain. Not good for precision work as it chips easily, but I like it for this hand:

I really like the halo effect of the oversize dial. Hung and tested for th' first time, has met if not exceeded expectations. ( kicks hiney ) So here, it's unveiling: BUCO, Halo Edition - Behold!
