Default New Haven Wall Clock

Bought this one today. The face needs a lift job but everything else is fine and dandy. Any one know the year and name? Thanks, Mark

Mark it looks like the Marino, as shown from 1917 in Tran's book. But your dial is very different, and isn't shown on any clock. I think yours is likely newer, 1920-30's, going by the dial.

Thanks Harold, The dial is an old thick tin one and fits the screw hole.

Your dial is what I would call classic art deco. The one pictured in Tran is round, with normal looking arabic numbers. Case looks the same as yours. I would think yours is all original, just newer than the one in the book.

I have to agree with you Harold it does have a deco look to it. Know were i can find a dial for it?

I tried cleaning the marker off the dial with some citrus cleaner, but it is still there. It was marked down from 100.00 to 45.00 at the antique store here in our town. So I think i will start looking for a nice dial for it.

Nope, don't know where you are likely to find a dial for it. You may have to work with what you have.

That is indeed the Marino. I have bought and sold two of them in the last couple of years and both had Marino stickers on the back. Although the face is different than the one pictured in the book, both of the clocks that I owned had the same square face that your clock has.

Too bad about the marker on the face but I don't think you will ever be able to remove it without washing off the numbers at the same time.

You got that for a really good price, it's a nice, substantial clock.
