A shot of the movement
From time to time you will see the Elgin grade 279 Overland pass through big auction site but not too many of the hunter version (278). Were all of the 278s Overlands or did you see what Elgin did on some runs like the 353 where some were marked ENWC, GMW or Overland. The yellow book shows a production of only 2K but no insight if the entire run was marked Overland.
A shot of the movement
Yours appears to be a later grade 352 (HC version of the 353) and only 3000 were made of this grade. In the case of the OF 353 it had the markings of GMW, ENWC, and Overland. For the most part the later hunter grades marked Overland tended to be low production, in this case if I use the 353 as a guide then I would expect the 352 to have some other markings besides the Overland name. Nice watch, I would not expect too many Elgin 352's our there and probably even less marked Overland.
