What is it that you'd like to know that you think we can help you with without photos?
I have just aquired a JW Benson pocket watch, that i cannot identify after searching every where, and nothing like it on any web site,
it has Fine silver with a large crown above it, the case number 31851 with AFM below that, then on one side it looks like in small hand marked numbers 13501/01/-
on the curved edge, if i had not cleaned it the you would not have known they were there, there is something else directly oposite again you would not know it was there till it was cleaned of what looks like 59186/5 then a bit further along CLJ. the face is white with roman numbers, and no makers name just the same case number. the back cover is opened by pressing a button on the top and that gives access to the key winder hole and time adjustment hole, where are no markings in the movement. it is also hrh ludgate hill.
Any information would be appreciated as i am try to work out the age of the thing, and before you ask i heve tried to photograph the hand markings but they wont show up on the camera
thanks

Marty has, quite correctly, put you on the spot. We are unable to tell you a great deal about what we can't see! I will tell you this though, if it says Fine Silver it isn't British silver and the hand scribed marks are repair marks which mean absolutely nothing other than to the individual who scribed them in the first instance. J W Benson operated out of Ludlow Hill but, in addition to making there own movements, they imported a lot of stuff of varying qualities. Pictures of the movement and the cast or stamped marks in the case is the only way that you are going to get any more information.
