Many thanks for the information, Zep, and for the BTW (I've always been partial to BTW's, particularly on rye). Her's to more robust health and fewer such adventures in the future.
Am aware that the current (March/April 2012) issue of the NAWCC's Watch & Clock Bulletin has a review of Tom Spittler's (2011) American Clocks, an Introduction. And that along with CLOCKS Magazine's publisher in Edinburgh, the NAWCC is also offering copies through the Gift Shop to Members and non-Members, with a discount to Members. However a fellow-MBer of the clockie persuasion who (shock horror!) is neither an NAWCC Member nor a CLOCKS reader has just asked when the volume might be available.
So, first, this just to say that it is. While adding that a distinct strength of Tom's volume that should be stressed is that, on top of his knowledge and all, he is one of our finest writers. Indeed, he was awarded the James W. Gibbs Award for Excellence in Literary Achievement.
And, hoping that our "mods" will tolerate another BTW, note that because of various medical adventures these past two months, I've not been able to contribute as much as I'd like to this, our MB/Clocks international Stammtisch. Apologies as well to those who'd/who've written off-list and not yet received a reply.
Regards
Zep

Zep, a warm welcome back and thanks for highlighting Tom's book for us clockies. Would seem logical to copy this thread to the Horological Books Forum, if no objection.
Done! Now the booksters can enjoy along with the clockies . .![]()
