I have just won an auction on the SA equivalent of eBay called BidorBuy on a Westclox Zobo with a black face. These watches were very common in South Africa in the 1960's and were sold by most rural trading stores which were shops that sold eveything from bicycles, chewing tobacco, groceries, blankets you name it. Hopefully it will be arriving within the next two weeks. I have been looking for one at a decent price for a long time now and there have been a few offered on BidorBuy but at stupidly high prices! I got this one for the equivalent of about $12 US. I think they were made in Canada, but don't seem to have been very popular in the US. Maybe they were made for export only?
