My buddy has one just like it, it,s a Golfer,s watch worn on the belt.Neat item and well made.
I always wanted one and now I finally found one! Havent seen many of them and I dont even know much about it. Maybe one of you can fill in the blanks. I call it a pop up watch, its made by the Circle Watch Co., Im assuming around 1950's? Anyways, let me know what you think, and if you have a similar one, please post your pictures and tell me more about it. Thanks!
p.s these pictures are borrowed from the guy I bought the watch from, I hope you dont mind

I have seen the golf watches, but those seem to have clips in the back rather than the lugs. example below:
My watch is a smaller watch too, about 31mm in diameter. Well, I think it might look unique throwing a band on it and wearing it on the wrist. when I do, Ill post some pictures.
thanks for the reply.
His is small too and its made so you dont have to bend over much to see while on the belt.
Ahhh, I see. Thats actually not a bad idea, it frees the hands from the watch weight so you can swing the club better, I suppose. I dont play much golf so I might just do the band thing and see how it turns out. If you ever get any pics from your friend, please post them, I had one heck of a time trying to find more watches like this out there. Thanks!
I will email my friend and see if he has a picture to send me.
Neat watch.
Check this one out, just found this picture, the owner says that it is meant to be worn on the side of the wrist! I want to wear mine on the wrist, any suggestions as to what color/material band I should get for mine? I was thinking of this same color or lighter brown.

New pictures of my watch, temporary band, Im looking for an aviators band with the rivets/screws that will hold it in place, I think that would fit it good. Thanks!
Sorry about the hairy arm... well, not much I can do about that![]()
Some how this just does not look right, to me anyways.
Another Golf watch.

What do you mean? you mean that it doesnt look like it belongs on the wrist? Ive had a couple of people say that, but the ben hogan was meant for the belt, but it used the clips in the back. Unless mine was meant to have a belt thread thru it, I dont know what else it would have been meant for. Its small enough for the wrist, but without any original ads that advertise the watch, I have no clue. Well, its a mystery for now. Thanks!
I believe it was made to be worn on the belt, looks weird as a wrist watch.
And a watch worn on the belt isnt wierd?I know what you are getting at, but I guess we will never know until I come across an ad for these unique watches. Im going for the wrist watch look for now, I like weird and unique watches, so if it looks weird than I made one cool purchase!
Thanks for the reply, love hearing everyones opinion, glad I joined this forum.
Different is good, i am all for it.But watches are worn in so many ways, that is the neat thing about them, variety.
