Default Click Spring for Kieninger Movement

I have a Sligh tall case movement in for repair. It is a triple chime, cable driven style with AJK Logo . It looks similar to the current Kieninger KSU model but does not have the auto shut off. The plates don't have slots for the barrels to be removed either. The back plate is marked Sligh 06 K 100cm. The click spring on the chime barrel was replaced during a previous repair that failed and the spring used is different than the 2 click springs on the T & S barrelswhich appear to be original.

I'm having trouble locating a replacement spring. Several supply houses carry the style with 1 tab & one screw hole. What I need is one with 2 tabs (photos attached).

Does anyone know the best source for Kieninger parts?. In particular I need the click spring and the tension washers that hold the barrel cover and and stop wheels in place.

    Thanks,

You may want to try BFI.

I know that they have the little push on retainer clips.

I usually buy the complete chain-wheel assembly if available.

You might have to make one. There's good info on making springs here

Phooey! The pictures are gone! I have a copy of the original thread, but it's too big to load on this site. If you want it, PM me with your email address.

shutterbug - I got your email. Thanks. I'm still hoping for someone to come through witha source but if I have to make one I'm sure your write-up will help.

Willie - Black Forest does have the tension washers. Unfortunately they don't carry the type of spring I'm looking for. They are the resource I mentioned has a spring with 1 tab & 1 screw hole. I'm pretty certain that won't work with this barrel.

    Thanks for your input.

Oakside Classic Clocks in England are Europe's largest supplier of Kieninger movements and movement repair spare parts.

I do wish this MB would stop letting people post URLs for pictures instead of actually posting the picture.
I know it is a pain to resize them but it is really irritating to see that the pictures are now gone.
I'd posted a picture to another MB that looks to use similar base software as this. It had some
auto resizing on it so I didn't need to do anything.

Agree Tinker. I posted a thread in the message board problems / comments section stating the same frustration. Gets into a bunch of copyright issues according to the powers to be here. I know on other forums they seem to have a more relaxed view. I hate spending time searching something only to find 4 pages of discussion regarding a link that is long longer valid.
