Would anyone know the manufacture date of a Hamilton Model 22 with serial number 2F29675? It seems rather late in production compared to other SNs I've seen. Thank you in advance!

A check of the Hamilton S# list on the NAWCC Hamilton records returned no information on Hamilton model 22, S# 29675. That could be because the data base says the last model 22 produced was S# 2F28400. That was in 1946. You could be reading the S# correctly, but just in case, could you check it again?

The end point of the records the NAWCC has is several years before Hamilton stopped producing timepieces in PA. We do have job cards and it is possible those or some other records may identify the later items.

Thanks gentlemen! Here's a photo of the movement for validation of the SN.

The watch came with a wooden box and a timing test document from the Southwest Instrument Co in San Pedro. Marine Chronometer dept is stamped in red on the doc. There are no navel related marks on the case only on the movement.

The most comprehensive and reliable source of Hamilton records that I know of, exists at the NAWCC library, and on line. These records for the model 22 end at 1948, and the serial numbers stop before your 2F29675, unfortunately. Your chronometer may be listed elsewhere, but I think we'll have to rely on someone else to pull up this S#.
