    Default Lenzkirch clock movement

    Hi All,

Can anyone provide more information on this Lenzkirch movement? Photo attached.http://www.flickr.com/photos/67810505@N02/6179996252/

With the 1 million mark, this should be post 1894, please correct me if I am wrong. It has a trademark AVG with a "U" below.

    Serial number is 382355.

I understand that serial # dates it to about 1903.

    Hi Jonathan,

    Thanks.
I found a list of serial numbers on the internet (as attached). I will be bidding for this clock. Hope I will get it.

    Cheers

Besides the thread that Ralph kindly noted, you might wish to take a second look at some of the "estimated" serial numbers for years in the table you refer to.

    For instance, for the years 1899, 1900, 1901, 1902, 1903, 1904, 1905, 1906, 1907, 1908, 1909, 1910, 1911 and 1912, Everett just added 39,000 to the previous year's estimated serial number.

Of course if that's not noted, the serial numbers look, well, accurate. But one thing we do know is that Lenzkirch did not turn out 39,000 movements year in and year out during that period.

I am closing this thread, not out of malice, but because the topic has now transferred to a new thread, here. I want to make sure that all comments on the clock are confined, so that no detriment comes to the health and safety of message board users through horocarpal tunnel syndrome.
