Default Trademark: Square/ Diamond with S

A friend has a clock with this trademark

    It's a circumscribed Square,
a 2nd square (diamond orientation) inscribed inside
and there's a large capital 'S' within the diamond.

It's similar to the Seikosha Trademark, but that
one more typically has a circumscribed Circle with
    the diamond square inside, etc.

Is this possibly a variation of the Seikosha <tm>,
or is it identifiable with some other manufacturer?

The round clock face measures about 13", Roman
numeral chapter, and marked "Regulator". There
are 2 winding arbors (horizontally spaced below
the center) but no sub. seconds.

It has a short drop pendulum, and a circular, plain,
    dark, wooden surround case.

    Any suggestions appreciated, and thanks.

    Lloyd:

Senkosha and Hayashi used an "S" inside a square, all inside a diamond (see Charles Davis Website here), but yours is apparently t'other wa around. Are you able to post a picture of the logo? If Charles Davis happens upon this thread, he maybe able to shed some light.

All this, of course, assumes the clock is Japanese.

Yes, much like those, but with the 'horizontal' diamond
on the outside. I'll attempt to get a picture, but here's
    the drawing he provided

Thanks for the suggestions -- interesting that none of
the trademarks at that site have the external square.

Could the dial be one of the replacement dials that Swiggart used to sell? Did they have a 'J" with the "S".

Hi John; According to the new owner, the mark is on the movement,
I didn't observe it directly. I'll try to get a look.

However, other than "Regulator" in an arc over the center, there's no
mark on the face/dial, which I did examine and measure. It certainly
appeared to be the original dial.

I'm re-informed that once the dial was removed (aluminum-backed,
BTW) and the movement illuminated, that external 'square' morphed
into a circle. So, it's Seikosha after all: Circle with inscribed diamond
    and letter S.

The only other mark is a numeral 6 just above that trademark,
located on the dial-side plate, left lower corner.

I'll arrange to post a couple of pictures, if anyone has an interest.

Thanks for the suggestions, the original information was incorrect.
