Croton Wrist Watches
In the late sixtys close to 1970 I bought two Croton watches. One was a 3 dial Chronograph for $120 and the other a Women's Date self winder for under $100.
The Crono had some minor repair in the late eightys at the Croton factory and has been running ever since. The Women's self winder with date is still used by my wife and has never had any service to it.
Croton must have been a good watch if these two are an honest indication. My 3 dial has a Seiko watch band that replaced the original rubber band. The Seiko Band came off a rather early LCD Seiko watch selling at over $300.
I used the 3 dial this year while my Omega was getting a new Mainspring, it's 3rd. The Croton Dial says 17 jewels, Incabloc and 1878 which I hope is not just a "date" number on the dial.
