STR used the 103 in lots of clocks. It can be a good runner. I had one that ran for years without trouble. I eventually sold it but still wonder how it's doing.![]()
Greetings all,
I saw two Seth Thomas, 8 day, 4 jewel, desk clocks today and bought both. A friend was with me at the time and wanted the one that I particularly liked.....oh well.....I said o.k. and kept the Cardiff. The other was the "Calais" that is lancet shaped and quite nice.
Both are from 1931. The cardiff is 4 1/2" H x 4" wide. The Calais is slightly taller. Both have the 103A movement and neither are in running order. Original cost for the Cardiff was $8.95
Best,
Richard T.
