Spring size for ST 124
What is the size of the spring on the chime side of a Seth Thomas 124 in length, width, and thickness?

.75" X .018" X about 60" should work. You may have to get the 96" one and shorten it.
Of course, this assumes that the one on my bench is original

Factory chime train spring was 3/4" X .016" X 78" or 19mm X .43 X 1982, 3/4" X .017" X 72" which is more common works fine, runs eight days easily. Best - CW

Trans duy ly lists the chime spring for a 124 at 3/4" wide x .015"thk x 72" long
page 968 third edition volume 2,u can order almost the exact relacement from timesavers,i think the thickness is .016" that they offer,check their catalogue
