Default old linden west germany clock. worth?

    Aloha Evan,

We don't do prices around here. One guy's priceless clock is another guy's "Jezebel" so we just stick to keeping the things ticking.

All we would do is look up a similiar thing on eBay's "sold" list anyway. Start it at a dollar and see where it ends up, then you'll know what it's monetary worth is.

Does it run? We can give loads of advice on clock repair.

    A hui hou,
    Cathy

    onion,
sound as though you have a Zaandam type clock.
Do a search on Zaandam clocks and see if this is the type clock. If so you can do a further search and try to get a value.

Hey, Onion, I got a bag of onions I need appraised, if you have the time. Seriously, though, made in West Germany dates it to after WW11, so not an antique. Figure what you paid plus a fair markup and give it a try. Harold

There are a lot of quite recent Dutch clocks about which have German movements

Onion, you didn't say if the clock has any weights. That is what the chains are for. Also may need a pendulum if it is missing. Get it running before sale, it will be worth more. Harold

    Hi Evan
Sounds like a Zaanse 'sort of lookalike' from the 1960s-70s - standard German movement with bell strike.
    Pics should confirm it.
    Why the textspeak?
