New Haven Figural "Ivanhoe"
This clock was brought to me for repair the end of the week and I thought I would share it with you.
It is a New Haven figural, "Ivanhoe", Circa 1900 and was originally available in gilt or bronze. This was bronze and still has a pretty good original finish. I haven't even removed all the dust yet and it still looks good.
Sadly, the dial has had a much harder life than the rest of the clock. Many cracks and breaks. It will run but needs cleaning and may have a strike problem.
All in all a nice old clock with a good original finish. Cost in 1900 was $23.75.

Is the dial porcelain or painted? If it is porcelain - wouldn't many of hairlines disappear or become much less visible if you just cleaned it?
Curious? Andy Dervan

The dial is porcelain and will benefit from a gentle cleaning. I plan to do that and hope that none of the cracked pieces separate from the copper base.
