Elgin pocket watch identification

I am trying to open the case on my Elgin pocket watch. There is no visible hinge so I am assuming this is a screw type case?! Watch description: gold, arabic numerals, blue hands, intricate design on back with small shield. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. (My dad was a long time member of your club until he passed away in 2004. This was his pocketwatch.)
