    Default Odd Tillery Furnace Clock!!

Ok maybe I'm just a rookie but I've been watching around and I've NEVER seen one like this! (Upper left)

Maybe some of you seasoned Veterans have?
Latest Pat date on this one is Nov 5th 1929 and it's on the back not the dial.
I'm gathering this one is fairly rare?

    Welcome Graphy, nice clock there.
I believe this is the furnace clock?
I think there was a thread on this before, is the spelling of your clock correct?
    I thought it was Tilley.

Yes that thread was about my other more common round version.
Yes they are furnace clocks that much is certain.
Very little info around on these for some reason...must not be that desirable to most?
Spelling is correct.....there is another Furnace Clock by Tidey I have yet to get.

I'll post better pics of it when I get it.
Interesting uncommon piece for my collection.

Hello The clock that is in the upper right is a Detex watchmans clock movement. As far as the furnace clocks I have seen a Tiddy furnace clock. This clock happened to be the first balance wheel clock I ever worked on. bill@fixoclox

Well almost a year later and still haven't seen another diamond shaped Tillery's "Little Janitor" Furnace Clock!

I haven't seen another go threw ebay or anywhere!!
Anyone else have anything on this after almost a year?

Doubt either style is worth a lotta $$$ but definately something different!

I have a Tidey furnace clock that has been married to a 17"h banjo clock case. I bought it a number of years ago. It fits the case very well and someone did a good job. It's missing the seconds hand.

I presume these Tillerys are for setting back the furnace thermostats? Do they include a thermostat? Has anyone ever seen one which operates a pneumatic thermostat? These used to be seen in schools and industrial buildings. Thanks!

I have a clock that looks identical to this. See:

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/50576726@N05/4646576203/

for the front of the clock, and

    for the reverse.

If you have any insight into clock's mechanisms, it would be much appreciated. (balance wheel alarm?)
