here is a receny buy.Bought this at my last chapter meeting for 50 dollars.I have no idea the company that made it.First thing that is odd to me, winding arbours are very high up.Dial has been replaced and i do not know history of the case either.
Any idea as i can not see any name on movement and no label is in the case.it is all gone, nothing left.
Another ch 111 purchase for 10 dollars.Movement was in parts in a shopping bag.it,s all there.Just needs a clean and bushing and some case work.Good price i thought.
I posted this before, but thought here is best.
Made by Jerome called the Tuscan.

Hello Everyone,
I picked up this Ithaca Clock Co. book shelf this weekend. I know it isn't a clock but thought I would list it in this thread anyway.
I would love to hear ideas of what others believe this may have been used for. My first thought was it was just a book case in an office at the factory. Anyone else have any ideas?
It needs a good cleaning and may need to be refinished as you can see in the pictures. I may leave the finish alone and just clean it.
Have a great day all.

You should show this to Ralph Thorpe at the Ithaca Clock Museum in Ithaca New York.

Nice find Chris.I would gently clean the finish, has a nice patina to it.
What is the wood, hard wood?
Great cabinet...
Is the Ithaca logo in silver leaf? Or silver paint? I looks like leaf.....

Hello everyone, I'm new here. I hope you'll all forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong section. I just bought a cute little clock yesterday at a garage sale. I paid five dollars for it. The brand name is Reuge. The clock face sits on top of a little music box. The music box plays reveille. On the bottom is the key for the music box and a black and red sticker that says "Reuge" and "Reveil d' Intanterie". The base is black with brass trim and a spray of roses on the front and sides of the music box base. Sadly, the clock doesn't work. It feels as if it has been wound to tightly. The music box works fine. I would be interested in getting the clock fixed and also learning the history of this little clock as well as its value. Should I fix the clock movement or not? That's one of the decisions I need to make. I have pictures that I would like to add here but I'm not exactly sure how to do it, although I will try. Any comments or suggestions or helpful advice is always welcome! Thank you and have a nice day!
Hi, Bud, welcome to the message board. Anyone who works on cuckoos to any extent is familiar with Reuge music movements. I wasn't aware that they made clocks. What is written on the clock dial?
As for repairing the clock, you cannot overwind a clock. I suspect that the movement is dirty, and in need of service. This one may not be a good one to start learning on.

Bud i have a clock similar to yours.Like Harold said not the best to learn to start work on.There are better choices for beginners.Do a search and read up on the subject.
Have fun.![]()
