    Default Atkins Clock Company Info

I recently picked up a clock from an estate sale. The label on the clock says Atkins Clock Company and has a patent date of 1867. My limited collectionof books has no information about this company.

Anyone out there have any information about them? Are Atkins clocks hard to come by?

Any info would be appreciated. Once I get it restored, I'll send a picture.

There will be a TON of info if you do a search. The company is fairly well know, and clocks by this company are usually very collectible. A picture, though, is always worth a 1000 words. What type of clock did you buy? The company was around for a long time, and they have some very beautiful and unusual models for wall clocks, mantle clocks, and some also use very unusual/desirable movements.

I'm just about finished restoring it. Actually, it didn't need a lot. One wheel had some teeth missing and the click spring was broken, but mainly it needed some TLC and a lot of elbow grease. I'll include some pictures when it is done.
