Default BILLODES YEAR 1850 K.SERKISOFF&Co for OTTOMAN EMPIRE 11 JEWELS (RE: Randy Becker)

    Randy,

    K. Serkisoff was an Ottoman dealer of the late 19th -early 20th centuries. He retailed different Swiss watches(most of them were pocket watches) in the Ottoman Empire. His shop was somewhere in Istanbul. As for the Billodes, this brand name was the earlier name for the famous Zenith watches. Naturally the pocket watch with both Billodes and Serkisoff names, should have had a dial with Arabic(in this case literally) numbers on it.
    Hope it helps,
    Regards,
    Constantin

Default BILLODES YEAR 1850 K.SERKISOFF&Co for OTTOMAN EMPIRE 11 JEWELS (RE: Randy Becker)

Billodes was one of many trade marks of Georges Favre-Jacot (1865) later Georges Favre-Jacot & Cie (1896). Another trade mark from 1896 was Eclipse wath a Z in a circle, and later became Zenith. There were at least two trade marks with the name Billodes (registered in 1885 and 1896). 1850 is early for Billodes. How about a picture?
