    Default Emil Schmeckenbecher Mantle Clock - Dunhaven

    I just purchased a mantle clock marked Dunhaven on the front - Made in Germany. The movement is Emil Schmeckenbecher - Made in Germany 2 jewel - 340-020. Can anyone give me any information as to the age or ?.....It is in perfect condition and has never been wound until I did so when I got hom. Wood case - silver face.     Hi, Dan. The movement in your clock is a Hermle, and may have a date code on it. I would guess 1970's or newer.
    Schmeckenbecher is a case builder/assembler, who made a lot of cuckoo clocks over the years, but never made movements. HTH
