Should a 1968 992B have a gold center wheel?

I've seen gold center wheels on Hamilton 992Bs, but have not seen enough late-model 992Bs to know whether this one (S/N C524,xxx) should be gold.

The polished gold center wheel on the 992B was changed to a wheel like you show at 'about' serial number C 120,000.

The exact cut-off point is unclear.
