Is there an expert out there with the Haddon Golden Vision clock, the knock-off of the Jefferson Golden Hour? The motor on my Haddon seems okay, but there is some friction in the dial glass/minute hand assembly that is causing a problem. Thanks.

    Hi Frank,
No expert here on Haddons but I had the same problem on mine.
I fixed it but I am not sure which of the 3 procedures was the problem.
    (1) I took 600 sandpaper and sanded all around the edge of the glass just to polish it.
    (2) I sanded the steel ring that goes in the circle of the clock nice and smooth including the edges putting a light coat of oil on it and wipeing it off.
    (3) I sanded the inside of the housing where the class fits and then polished it.
I think those frames the glass goes in are some kind of potmetal substance. I'm not for sure that they don't start shrinking or swelling over the years.
But to answer your question one of the three operations above will usually be the problem. Just make all three pieces as slick and smooth as possiable.
