    Default Most sought after watches

    Hi,

I am looking for a website with information on the most desirable watches at this time, brands, models etc, preferably mechanic, quartz also but they don't have my real interest, once you have owned a mechanical watch you don't go back I suppose

This site has some information on at least one watch that (allegedly) falls into your specified category:

    old ref::An uncommon catch.

    Hi,

Yes it falls into my specified category.
Haven't had too many Rolex in our collection.
At the time only 3 but all of the lesser Rolex company Marconi.
Sold a pre Daytona 6238 18K recently for somebody, still looking for more of these. The hunt continues !

Hi Filip, I just stumbled on a retail web site that seems to have some incredibly unique old watches (and a lot of common ones). I have a thread running here about my Longines 13ZN and was doing some research and found the site. Here is the site... maybe you could determine most desirable by highest cost?? LOL Certainly one way of looking at it!

    http://www.chrono24.com/web/en/hersteller/u/index.htm

This will bring up a webpage with letters across the top, pick "O" to get to Omega, "L" for Longines, etc. and you will get listings of offerings with pictures.

Not sure if I'm breaking any rules here, since it is a sales site... my intent is for it as a resource, it certainly was for me! Let me know if I need to get someone to slap my hands moderators!

    Hi,

We actually had some watches on there few years ago lol.
It's not only about the most expensive watches.

I have for instance a "Zenith Defy" reference A 7652, was produced in 1971 / 73 and is fitted with a ZENITH movement caliber 2562 PC. Production was 6'000.- pieces.
Very rare and very collectible but not that expensive.
I only bought it because of the special design and I knew that the Defy series are sought after.

Nice site chrono24 by the way, yes they do have many interesting watches.
