Default English Key Wind Key Set

I have an English KWKS pocket watch in a siver case. It has 1775 Hall Mark in the case,Birmingham hallmark and the silver hall mark. The movement is a very well made Lever escapement. It has the serial#1,107943. It also has written on it Pat. Pinion. It has the step balance bridge and the old style balance wheel.I am not sure of how to post pictures to this board but I can send them to someone wno may be able to help me ID this watch.

    Many Thanks,
    Gary G

It sounds like a movement made by the Lancashire Watch Company of Prescot, near Liverpool, between 1888 and 1910. No other British manufacturer ran to such (relatively) high serial numbers, and only a few used the PATENT PINION notation. The hallmark date must be a misunderstanding, since in 1775 there was only one lever watch (made by Thomas Mudge for the consort of the future King George III in 1758) in the entire world!
