Default Seth Thomas "89" Mantel Clock

Folks I'm new here and was hoping to get some information on one of my grandfather's clocks. It is a Seth Thomas Mantel Clock with the 89 works. Can anyone direct me to where I can find out more about this clock with regards to when it was made and what it might be worth?
I have been scouring the net to learn more about this clock. I did read that the company stamped the bottom of the clock with the year backwards Mine reads 01, so does that mean 1910? I can provide more descriptions and pictures if that helps.

    Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the message board. You are probably correct of the date. If you can post photos here, we may be able to tell you the exact name of the model clock you have, and maybe other info., as well.

The underside photo shows a "hole" actually appears to be wear-through by the pendulum needle. My grandfather was very meticulus with this clock as I remember. Although there appears to be lead weight added to the backside of the pendulum.

Looks like...a nice example of the "Sentinel". If your clock strikes on a horizontal rod, it is the "Sentinel 9". If it strikes on a spiral gong, it is the "Sentinel 10". Mahogany case. Probably dates to late 1920's. Nice clock, good condition!
