Default seeking information on my Waltham clock

First of all what a great invention message boards and I thank NAWCC for having one!
I am looking for someone who may know something about my clock. On the inside after you unscrew the back cover it says Waltham Watch Co. USA 8 Days. It has what I believe to be is a serial number 23888497 but I could be wrong.

    Best Regards,

Your Waltham clock is usually refered to as a Car-Clock. Most were Waltham <STRIKE>36</STRIKE> 37 size 8 day double mainspring "watches."

Some with wandering winding indicator; most were 7 jewel but a few were 15 jewel and used during WWII as deck watches.

<span class="ev_code_GREEN">According to an old Ehrhardt publication, Waltham serial numbers 23,883,001 through 23,906,000 were the 8 day, seven jewel movements made in 1920.</span>

They are also found in some Waltham desk and a few wall clocks.

    Very good timepieces.

Thank you so much, that tells me alot. My grand father served in the military during WWII. I wish I could find a way to post a photo, I am sure there is a way I just have not yet found it. I would like everyone who can appreciate this piece to be able to see it.
    Best Regards,
