    Somebody opened this movement and on the inside of the plates closed the worn bushes instead of installing bushings.
    "Hall of shame stuff"
    It was put back together well.
    I will not go through so much work.
    I will bush.

    You see that a lot on older repairs. Seems it was the 'normal' approach to repairing clocks fifty years ago
