    Question Zeno watch not working

I've recently bought a Zeno watch from a garage sale.
Balance wheel mechanism is ok. But the crown isn't winding the watch . It moves the hands and changes date. Need help.

Sounds like either the cover plate is broken or the yoke has slipped out of position or both. You'll need to take the dial off for a look. Why not show some photographs?

    What about a broken mainspring?

    Thanks.
    The problem is as follows
When the stem shaft is in winding position
It can move to the left smoothly but can't
rotate to the right to wound the watch.

The mainspring is fully wound and the watch is stopped. Let the mainspring down fully and it should now be able to be rewound fully. The watch needs servicing or repair. The situation is normal with the winding.

    can't
rotate to the right to wound the watch.
After having read this I agree with roughbarked that service is needed!

    Hi Roughbarked
I've tried very hard to unwind the mainspring but to no avail.
It looks like stuck. I cleaned the watch in a cleaning solution and oiled it.
Every part i working nicely except the mainspring.
    Any new advice please.
    Thanks in advance.

    Change the battey then.

How do you know anything is working if the mainspriing is stuck? Have you searched letting down mainspring on this site?

    Sorry if I sound abrupt.

If the mainspring appears "stuck" when fully wound, there are several possibilities. The first one of which is that the watch isn't in working order. Washing it in a bucket and saying it has been cleaned while the mainspring is still "stuck", is only gibberish. It is impossible to clean and oil a watch movement while the mainspring is "stuck".

For a start, one needs to take the movement out of the case and remove the dial and hands. It is going to be a complete mess otherwise.

Please show your photos and your workings.

    Well .
I know by using my small air pump on the balance.
The balance oscillates and all parts work well. Simply that.
And when rotating the automatic plate the watch works.
This far i went to know. Any conclusions you make are most welcome.
I'LL try to post some pictures later on.
    Thanks a lot.

It looks like a Felsa 4000 series movement. It is auto wind and though it does have a manual winding system it is easier to wind manually if the automatic system is removed. The semicircular weight will rotate and wind the watch when worn on your wrist. The manual winding system may be rusty or have broken parts if the watch cannot be wound manually.
