Default Not rare or collectable, just different.

Here's one that's a little different, I bought this as a young 18 year old electrical engineering student in college. Its a digital watch telling time in binary code. Thought not technically true binary, the lights are either on or off so binary state off being 0 on being 1.

Is the 01 indication a timer display to go with the buttons? I suspect a binary display of seconds would be too confusing on a wristwatch.

    I think it is neat.

When my son was 10 he spent about a week at the WVU Medical Center electronics lab learning how to wire up all the functions on a hexadecimal counter to push buttons and LEDs mounted on an aluminum chassis. He was very hurt when his teacher gave him a D because she did not believe he could have made it. That was in 1975.

The 01 is just the manufacture, they make a series of these LED watches. I think I paid $250 for it back in 2005, not exactly expensive but still a lot for a broke college freshman.
The bottons are just for setting the time. There unfortunately are no other features.

8x57mauser: Could you tell me if the crystal is acrylic(plastic) or glass?
I may get one but I'm curious about the build quality. Also is it heavy, or bulky?

    Thanks

Mine does have a mineral glass crystal, not really heavy but doesn't feel like a cheap walmart watch, the case diameter is around 40mm i believe

Bought one. Seller had a best offer option, and after a few back and
forth emails we agreed on a price.
I'm very happy with my purchase. Can't wait to see it.

My wife a few yrs ago bought my son this TSHIRT

How hard is it to get the back off to change batteries?

how long do the batteries last(does it eat batteries)

The back just pops off so battery replacement is easy. I've only had to replace mine a few times.

Its pretty easy on batteries since the lights only display for a few seconds after you push the button to see the time.

Got the watch yesterday, and I really can't express how happy
I am with this purchase. This is a very well made, beautiful watch(and looks like it was never worn).

I changed the battery very easily. I was surprised how big
the battery was. Now I'm going to wear a
watch and pocket watch at the same time(and they are Soooo different from each other).
Soon they will be coming to take me away to the "funny farm".
