Thread: Cipod clock

    Default Cipod clock

Has anyone ever heard of a clock with the brand "Cipod"? At least that is what the logo looks like. It's an old wind up mantel clock with what looks like a German movement.
Sorry, no photo. Just curious about the name.

Well, since you are not even sure that the name is Cipod, it is rather hard to help. The name Cipod does not appear in any German source I have.

If you can post a photo someone may recognise what the logo really says and be able to help you.

Could it be, by any stretch of the imagination, Girod?

Well, it is Girod. You're right. Looks like the photos on the internet. It was hard to read. Thanks.

Well done Steven.........again! I should have made the jump from German to French and C to G but I didn't.

Glad to have helped. I wasn't 100% sure, but it seemed a possibility.
